Be prepared for Summertime fun at home!

Backyard Pools can provide many hours of summer fun, but they can also be dangerous. Owning a backyard pool comes with a lot of responsibilities. Operators must keep the pool or hot tub safe for their users. Most of the children drown or have accidents in the pool area because the caregivers were not paying attention. Here are some simple tips to help families keep the backyard pool safe.

Home Pool Safety Tips!

  • Build a fence that is at least 1.2 meters in height and has a self-closing and self-latching gate.
  • Establish some pool rules for your kids to follow. These can include swim with a buddy, kids are not allowed in the pool area without adult supervision, etc.
  • Have readily accessible throwing rope or Life-Ring
  • Keep the pool deck clean and clear of debris such as toys.
  • If you have a hot tub, make sure the temperature never goes higher than 104 F degrees.
  • Always have a phone nearby and a First Aid kit for emergencies
  • Register your kids for Marina’s Summer Swim Camp, so the kids can learn more about water safety.

Did You Know?

That Babies up until 6-month-old already know how to hold their breath underwater. It is very important to introduce toddlers to the water environment as early as possible. This way the toddlers grow up loving water and have no fear when it is time to take unparented classes.

Your Toddler can start his or her swimming journey as early as 6-month-old!

Swimming is an important life skill and helps to prevent drowning, but did you know swimming also provides benefits for babies outside the water? It is true! Babies, toddlers, and older kids benefit from learning different skills in each level offered at Marina’s Swim School but take note of these other ways your baby will benefit from learning to swim.

Better Sleeping
Routine! When your baby is using up their energy in swim class, their little body will naturally want to sleep and rest their body. That is something to celebrate!

Our 45-minute classes are a lot of fun for the guardian & the toddler. Our Small Pool is 32C, so the babies will never want to leave the pool. See You Soon!

Summer Session & Swim Camps 2022

July 2nd to August 31st

Better Bath Time
For many babies, bath time is either hit or miss: They either love it or resist the water going near their face. If yours is one of the latter, Marina’s Swim School can help! Our instructors use integrity, compassion, and trust to teach babies how to get used to being in the water and have fun.

Increased Appetite
If your little one eats a little bit here and a little bit there, you’re not alone. But if they are swimming and using all kinds of energy to kick around in the water, they will be working up an appetite!
