Release: (a) releases Marina’s Swim School (“School”) from all claims and liabilities whatsoever arising from participation in or attendance at School’s current or future programs by the undersigned, the undersigned’s child(ren) or any associated spectator(s);

OUR PROGRAM IS A CONTINUOUS PROGRAM. You may join our program at any time and the monthly tuition will be prorated accordingly.  Your child will remain enrolled in our program until you inform us that you are discontinuing lessons.


An annual registration fee for each student is due with the first registration of the calendar year.  The registration fees are $35 for each family member, maximum of $105 per family. For River Club Members at our Richmond location, the annual registration fee is $35 per family member, maximum of $105. Any registration fees paid after November 1st will be extended through the following year.

We take credit and debit cards, checks and cash.

All registration fees and tuition are due at the time of enrollment and are nonrefundable.  We reserve the right to change or cancel any class at any time.


If you are planning on discontinuing lessons, you must notify us in writing or by email to ( You will receive an email confirming the cancellation of your lessons. If you do not receive an email confirmation, please contact us to confirm your cancellation.  There will be no refunds for any reason. Please do not ask us to make any exceptions.


In order to meet our commitment to providing timely, quality service to all of our customers, we do not encourage makeups as they do affect the integrity of the class. It is very important to try to attend your regular scheduled class which is the best possible learning environment for your child. However, we realize that it is sometimes impossible to attend your regular schedule class. We must strictly enforce our policies.

  • One free makeup class for 15 lessons package may be scheduled.
  • All make-up lessons must be done in side current package.
  • Private students who would like to make up a missed class will do so in regular group classes.
  • In order to receive a makeup lesson, we require 24-hour notification. Make-up classes are not re-bookable.
  • Additional missed classes may be rescheduled for a $10 fee based on availability.
  • We do not guarantee the same teacher, time or student ratio for group lesson makeups.
  • All make-up lessons are question of availability of the schedule.
  • Makeup classes are not transferable to the new package.
  • No make-up lessons for the last lesson of the package.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           PROLONGED ABSENCES AND HOLIDAYS

If you know in advance that your child will miss a number of lessons, or if your child will be out for an extended time due to illness or vacation, we recommend that you put on hold your lessons. The remaining swim lessons will be held on your Marina’s Swim School account for 12 months from the date of issue. No refunds will be issued.

No classes will be credited for past missed lessons if you fail to notify us in writing prior to your extended absence.

If you suspend your lessons for any reason, we cannot guarantee the same swim schedule or instructor when you are ready to return. We will do our best to accommodate you; however, some instructors and certain hours are difficult to schedule.


If a student is not toilet trained or toilet trained for less than 6 months, he/she must wear a disposable swim diaper and an approved cloth swim diaper to assure a double layer of protection. The cloth swim diaper must pass the two finger test (if 2 fingers can be inserted under the elastic in the legs and waist, the swim diaper is too large and the child will not be permitted in the water). Disposable swim diapers alone do not pass the Board of Health Code for public pools.


Please do not let children enter the pool area until the teacher calls for them. All children must be supervised by parents when not in the water.  Additional water time is at the instructor’s discretion based on safety factors.


Photos and videos are occasionally taken at Marina’s Swim School and are used for Marina’s Swim School website, publicity purposes and on social media such as Facebook and YouTube. Please indicate on your registration form if you would not like your child’s photo or video used.


We email our customers regularly with information, newsletters, upcoming events and promotions. Please update your contact information on our office

Information and Registration: (e) The information in the registration Form is true and correct; and the undersigned acknowledges that he/she has read and understood all policies and information contained in this Authorization, Release and Acknowledgement form and the registration form.


 (b) A refund will be given (less $120.00 registration fee per student per session) provided:

Notice of cancellation is received three weeks prior to the starting day of the session, provided we are able to fill your spot. No other refunds will be made, as your spot in the class has been reserved throughout the session(s). A credit (less $120.00 registration fee) will be given if notice of cancellation is received during the session, and is for medical reasons and is supported by a medical statement. The amount of the monetary refund or credit, as applicable, for each  student will be equal to the paid registration fee less a pro-rated portion of the registration fee (for lessons taken, used or elapsed prior to receipt of written notice of withdrawal, as applicable, including any lessons scheduled to occur less than 24 hours from receipt of notice of withdrawal) and a per student administration fee of $120.00. All requests for monetary refunds or credits must be made in writing
