Parent & Toddler

Parent & Tot Program

Our Parent & Tot swimming lessons are designed for children aged 8 months to 3 years. These classes offer a supportive, fun, and interactive environment where parents join their little ones in the water, introducing them to the wonders of the aquatic world. The program fosters water comfort, basic safety instincts, and joyful bonding experiences between parents and children.

A unique feature of our Parent & Tot classes is their musical theme, where rhythm and timing play a central role in teaching fundamental movements in the water. Children develop coordination and confidence through engaging songs, games, and activities in an environment filled with music and laughter.

Our Parent & Tot program is divided into two distinct groups based on developmental stages:

Beginner Babies (8–12 months)

For infants in the earliest stage of the program, our focus is on sensory engagement and foundational interaction with water. At this stage, children will:

  • Move rhythmically to music: Parents guide babies through gentle movements in sync with the beat, helping them build a sense of rhythm.
  • Play interactive games like peek-a-boo: These games promote trust and a connection with caregivers in the water.
  • Respond to voices and music: Babbling, cooing, and reacting to the caregiver’s voice or musical cues foster communication skills.
  • Recognize their caregiver’s voice from a distance, helping them feel safe and secure in the new environment.

Advanced Babies (12–36 months)

As children grow and their motor skills, independence, and curiosity develop, our advanced program introduces more active exploration and interactive play. At this stage, children will:

  • Explore and play independently: They engage in water activities that encourage curiosity and self-discovery.
  • Attempt skills on their own: Guided by caregivers, they start practicing movements with less assistance.
  • Follow simple instructions: Basic commands like “kick your feet” or “blow bubbles” are introduced in a fun way.
  • Engage with rhymes and songs: These activities enhance language skills and provide structure to lessons.
  • Be part of a group: Children learn social skills as they interact with others, transitioning toward group learning.
  • Make choices: Encouraged to select activities or games, fostering decision-making and confidence.

Participate in imaginative play: Through storytelling, imagery, and water-based games, they build creativity and a love for swimming.
